PUTT-PUTT :: SUMMER CAMP :: TEACHER GRANT APPLICATION Due by 10/15/08

Our Story
Five years ago a group of parents and interested members of the community started 4RKids. They were motivated by the need to inform the public about children and adults with development disabilities. They also wanted to develop ways to support families of special needs children and adults by not only providing information, but also  educational support, social opportunities and, ultimately, a vocational center.

4RKids was granted 501(c)3 status by the IRS in February 2004. The organization started small, but it has grown by leaps and bounds. 4RKids has big plans for the future.

4RKids seeks to provide:

AWARENESS . . .
of the needs of all children and adults with developmental disabilities
in our area as well as of the gifts and talents they seek to share.

OPPORTUNITY. . .
for greater participation in the community by all children and adults
with developmental disabilities through increased educational,
vocational and social settings and opportunities.

ASSISTANCE . . .
through camp scholarships, teacher grants, Public Awareness Campaign,
family support, a special book section in the Garfield County library and
Walk 4RKids.
